Christine Spindler

Christine Spindler , b. Christine Zang (* 1960 in Backnang ) is a German writer . Her works mainly include children's books and English-language crime novels. She publishes under her real name, the short name Chris Spindler, the pseudonym Tina Zang and as a co-author under the collective pseudonym Kris Benedikt.

Life

Christine Spindler briefly studied physics in Heidelberg before completing an apprenticeship as a foreign language correspondent. She later worked as a secretary at the MPI for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg, where she met her husband, with whom she has a daughter. She is a full-time writer and translator. Since 1999, she has published 45 books, including some that she wrote in English. Their genres are detective novels, children's books, youth books and lit Chick . In Germany she is best known for her children's book series about karate hamster Neo, published by arsEdition .

Co-authors

Christine Spindler wrote several of her works together with other authors. This includes the American Karen Wiesner , with whom she published five English crime novels and two crime stories under the name Chris Spindler. Their collaboration took place without personal contact via email.

In the same way, Spindler alias Tina Zang and Herbert Friedmann wrote the bilingual children's crime thriller Trapped . The book was first published by Langenscheid in 2005 , has been reprinted five times and published twice as an audio book.

Spindler met the Munich director and writer Thomas Endl (* 1964) at an authors' forum. Under the collective pseudonym Kris Benedikt they have published two books for young people for the bilingual science fiction series BoyZone by Langenscheidt. They recently started writing a crime series which they publish as e-books.
