Christine Truman
Christine Truman Janes (born January 16, 1941 in Woodford Green , England ) is a former British tennis player .
Career
In 1959, at the age of 18, she became the youngest ever winner of the French Open . Only Steffi Graf 1987 and Monica Seles 1990 were younger when they won.
Between 1957 and 1965 she was in the top 10 of women's tennis for six years. She reached her highest position in 1959 with second place. Between 1957 and 1971 she played in the Wightman Cup and won it three times in 1958, 1960 and 1968. She won the Fed Cup with the British team in 1963, 1965 and 1968.
Personal
In December 1967 she married Gerald Janes.
