The Christmas Cliffs are two distinctive and south-facing rock cliffs on the Eights coast of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the Jones Mountains they tower 3 km south-southeast of the Pillsbury Tower .
Participants in an expedition to the Jones Mountains undertaken by the University of Minnesota from 1960 to 1961 mapped and named them. It was named after the fact that the group reached the cliffs on Christmas Day in 1960 .
