Christo Stantschew (painter)

Christo Stantschew Krussew , ( Bulgarian Христо Станчев ; born June 1, 1870 in Sweschen , † June 4, 1950 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian painter.

Life

Stantschew studied in Vienna , Florence and Munich .

He painted in the style of critical realism. The motifs of his works often showed the life and suffering of ordinary people. He also created landscapes. Stanchev was awarded the Dimitrov Prize .
