Christof Bolay

Christof Bolay (* 1968 in Heilbronn ) is a German local politician ( SPD ). He has been Lord Mayor of Ostfildern since 2005 .

He graduated from high school in Leonberg and completed his community service in Stuttgart. Bolay then studied literature and political science . In the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry of Economics, Christof Bolay worked, among other things, as office manager of the State Secretary and as a consultant for issues relating to vocational training and technology policy. In 2002 he was responsible for finances and personnel in the office of the federal manager of the SPD for ten months .

In the Mayor election in Ostfildern on February 20, 2005, Christof Bolay was elected the new Mayor of the major district town with 51.4 percent of the vote in the first ballot. On February 24, 2013, Bolay was confirmed in office for another eight years with 97.8 percent of the vote. He was the only candidate for mayor's office. The turnout was 29.13 percent.
