Christoph Corbinus , also Christoffer Corbiano , († around 1652 in Hamburg ) was a master carpenter and builder.

Live and act

In 1638 Corbinus moved from Altona to Hamburg, where he made the main altar of the main church Sankt Katharinen in 1638/39 . In 1646 he created the preaching chair of the small church on the sand in Harburg . In 1648 he created a model for the new construction of the spire of Sankt Katharinen, which had suffered storm damage. For the model, the shape of which is not documented, he received 150 marks. The top of the tower was built from 1657 by Peter Marquard . Until the end of his life, Corbinus took over the supervision of the repair of the tower shaft and the church roof, which had been damaged by the fallen tip.

Corbinus made plans for the nave of the Sankt Michaeliskirche , which was built from 1649. The nave and tower burned down in 1750. In 1652 he also created a baptismal angel for the St. Jacobi Church .
