Christoph Heinrich Adolph von Zehmen , (born August 23, 1728 in Oelzschau , † April 6, 1799 in Neustrelitz ), captain in the Royal Baviere regiment, adjutant general, electoral Saxon and Mecklenburg chamberlain , travel marshal to the Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz , castle captain of Neustrelitz .

Live and act

Christoph Heinrich Adolph von Zehmen inherited the manor Oelzschau when he was born as an orphan in 1728. He lived partly on Oelzschau and in 1748 became a chamberlain . In 1756 he took on French military service and made two campaigns with the regiment Mme. La Dauphine and as a captain in the regiment Royal Baviere. Christoph Heinrich became adjudant general to Charles de Rohan, prince de Soubise and, in 1761, Electoral Saxon Chamberlain and was a member of the Economic Society in Leipzig. In 1784 he became travel marshal to the Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz , Adolf Friedrich IV. , And in 1790 Castle Captain of Neustrelitz, in 1796 Chamberlain there. The son Carl Amabilis Desiderius von Zehmen sold Oelzschau in 1777 because he entered the Hessian service and participated in the American War of Independence .
