Christoph Keller (artist)

Christoph Keller (* 1967 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German artist.

Live and act

Keller studied mathematics, physics and hydrology in Freiburg, Berlin and Santiago de Chile from 1987 to 1992. From 1993 to 1996, Keller was a member of the interdisciplinary group Embassy eV Berlin. From 1993 to 1995 he studied art at the Berlin University of the Arts , with Katharina Sieverding , followed by a postgraduate course at the Cologne Media Academy . Since 1994 numerous exhibitions at home and abroad.

A central theme of Christoph Keller's artistic work is the investigation of the sciences and their peripheral areas, the so-called border sciences and charlatanism. As part of the "Cloudbuster Project" (2003) he reproduced Wilhelm Reich's experiments on influencing the atmosphere with orgone energy . Later projects examine hypnosis and cinematography ("Hypnosis-Film-Project", 2006) as well as conspiracy theories on the Internet ("The Chemtrails Phenomenon" 2006, "The Whole Earth" 2007). For 2017/2018 he was awarded a scholarship at the Villa Massimo in Rome.

Keller lives and works in Berlin.
