Martin Morlock

Martin Morlock (* 23. September 1918 in Berlin , † 12. November 1983 in München ; actually Günther Goercke ) was a German journalist and cabaret - author .

Life

Morlock attended an art school in Munich and began studying medicine , which he continued after the Second World War . He performed his own poems in the Schwabing “Künstlerklause” and received acting lessons at the Bavaria Filmkunst GmbH junior school . Towards the end of the war he was employed as a field doctor in Italy and, together with Werner Finck , published the hospital newspaper “Fieberkurve” in Merano . After returning to Germany , Morlock worked as a freelance journalist and writer ; Among other things, he wrote for the Düsseldorf Kom (m) ödchen , the satirical magazine Das Wespennest , for the literary cabaret Die Kleine Freiheit founded by Erich Kästner (since 1952) and the Münchner Lach- und Schießgesellschaft . From 1955 he was also a television critic for the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the Spiegel and wrote his own television series.
