Christoph Klarer (born June 14, 2000 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

His career began more clearly at SV Böheimkirchen . In January 2011 he switched to the youth team at SK Rapid Wien , where he later played in the academy. For the 2016/17 season he moved to England in the youth team of Southampton FC . After two seasons with the U-18 team, he moved into the squad of the U-23 team in Southampton for the 2018/19 season, after having played his first game for them in March 2018.

In January 2020 he returned to Austria on loan and switched to Bundesliga club SKN St. Pölten . He made his debut for SKN in the Bundesliga in February 2020 when he started against FC Admira Wacker Mödling on matchday 19 of the 2019/20 season. By the end of the loan, he had made 13 Bundesliga appearances.

National team

Klarer played for an Austrian national youth team for the first time in November 2014. In August 2016 he played against Croatia for the first time for the U-17 team , for which he was used eleven times by May 2017. Between September and November 2017, he played three games for the U-18 team . He made his debut for the U-19 team against Denmark in September 2018 .
