Christoph Hagen Märtner (born March 7, 1992 in Dresden ) is a German handball player .

Career

Christoph Hagen Märtner grew up in Plauen and began playing handball in 1996 at the local club SV 04 Plauen Oberlosa. In 2003 the then D youth player moved to SC Magdeburg . For Magdeburg, the circle ran up to the end of his A youth. The right-hander then signed a contract with the second division VfL Bad Schwartau . At the beginning of the 2011/12 season Märtner received only a small proportion of the game. After his teammates Kevin Jahn and Martin Zeschke were injured during the first half of the season, he moved up to the starting line-up. At the end of the 2011/12 season, his contract with VfL was terminated. He then returned to the association league club SV 04 Plauen Oberlosa, rose to the Sachsenliga in 2013 with SV 04 Plauen Oberlosa and won the Sachsenpokal in 2014. In 2015, Christoph Märtner won the Saxony championship title as SV 04 Plauen-Oberlosa's top scorer and his team was promoted to the Mitteldeutsche Liga. He ended his career in 2016 due to shoulder problems. After a year of regeneration, he resumed training at HC Elbflorenz . He mainly plays in the 2nd men's team in the Central German handball league and reached the final of the DHB amateur cup with this in 2018 . In addition, he was repeatedly used by coach Christian Pöhler in point games in the 1st men's team of HC Elbflorenz during the 2017/18 season in the 2nd Bundesliga.
