Christoph Meleschnig (born October 7, 1997 in Carinthia ) is a former Austrian handball player who was part of the squad of the Austrian first division club SG Handball West Vienna .

Career

Born in Carinthia, he started playing handball in his hometown at SC Ferlach . At the age of 15 he left Carinthia, switched to Vöslauer HC and attended the handball academy in Bad Vöslau, where he graduated . In 2013 he moved to the HLA club SG Handball West Vienna, where he was under contract until 2020.

He also played in the junior national team born in 1996 and younger.

In August 2016, he was seriously injured during training and had to undergo surgery for a fractured skull and maxillary sinus.

Meleschnig ended his career in January 2020 for professional reasons.
