Christoph Neubronner

Christoph Neubronner (born February 16, 1960 in Königstein im Taunus ) is a German jazz pianist who is best known for his style in the tradition of Oscar Peterson . He is related to Julius Neubronner .

He received piano lessons from the age of nine , and his predilection for improvising quickly developed. After a long, intensive study of the music of Emerson, Lake and Palmer , he first came into contact with jazz at the age of 15 . Thanks to his perfect pitch and his talent for improvisation, jazz quickly became his musical home. From this point on, this style was the focus of his musical work alongside the classical.

Since the mid-1980s he has been working with a number of well-known jazz musicians, particularly in the Rhine-Main area ; so he belongs u. a. on the sextet by Frank Runhof . He also plays with European and international jazz greats such as Bill Ramsey and Greetje Kauffeld and has also performed with Dave Weckl and John Patitucci .

From 1999 until the band split up, he was a permanent member of the Siggi Gerhard Swingtett .
