Christoph Pepper

Christoph Pepper (* 1957 in Cologne ) is a German journalist and former editor-in-chief of the Mindener Tageblatt , which is published in the East Westphalian district town of Minden .

Life

Pepper attended the Herder high school in Minden . After completing his military service, he completed an internship at the Westfalen-Blatt in Bielefeld from 1977 and became an editor there . From 1979 to 1985 he studied journalism, history and political science in Münster and Paris . From 1985 he worked again as an editor, first at Herford Kreisblatt , then again at Westfalen-Blatt in Bielefeld.

From 1991 to 2018 Pepper was editor-in-chief of the Mindener Tageblatt , and from 2016 to 2019 also co-editor. He was at times one of the longest-serving editors-in-chief in Germany before he was replaced by Benjamin Piel on June 1, 2018 . Pepper still appears as a political commentator for this newspaper on international political issues.
