Christoph Sahner

Christoph Sahner (born September 23, 1963 in Illingen ) is a former German athlete in the hammer throw discipline . As an Olympian, he competed for the Federal Republic. With a height of 1.80 m, his competition weight was 98 kg.

Sahner won gold at the Junior European Championships in 1981. 1985 and 1986 he was German champion. In 1985 he set a German record with 81.56 m. His personal best from 1988 is 81.78 m.

Today Sahner Hammer Throw is the state trainer of the Saarland .

Successes in detail

At the 1984 Olympic Games , Sahner qualified for the final, but had no valid attempt there. In 1988 Sahner failed to qualify.
