Christoph Stiba
Christoph Stiba (born December 6, 1967 in Lübeck ) is a Baptist clergyman and has been the General Secretary of the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches (BEFG) since 2013 .
Life
After studying at the theological seminar of the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches in Hamburg-Horn (from 1993) and Wustermark-Elstal (from 1997), Christoph Stiba completed his vicariate in the Baptist congregation in Hamburg-Osdorf from 1998 . In 2001 he received his official recognition as pastor of the BEFG and in 2002 switched to the community service in Kassel-Möncheberg, which he provided until 2009.
In 2005 Stiba was elected to the presidium of his free church . In 2009 he was appointed to the management of the BEFG. Within this body, he headed the Mission Department . With his appointment as General Secretary of the BEFG, which took place on August 1, 2013, he succeeded Regina Claas . One of Stiba's declared goals is the establishment of new Baptist churches in Germany.
Christoph Stiba is married and has two children.
