Christoph Ulrich von Burgsdorff († October 10, 1667 in Magdeburg ) was a German canon in Magdeburg and since 1661 owner of the pledged office of Voigtstedt .

Life

Christoph Ulrich von Burgsdorff came from the old Brandenburg noble family von Burgsdorff . His grandfather's name, like him, was Christoph Ulrich von Burgsdorff and was initially an imperial head sesson and later an imperial councilor. His father was Hans Christoph von Burgsdorff and a councilor and governor in Halberstadt . He made an early effort to get his son a job at the Magdeburg Cathedral Chapter , which he succeeded. He also became provost of the collegiate church St. Pauli in Magdeburg.

From his brother, the Colonel Sergeant Johann George von Burgsdorff, he received on May 9, 1661 the office of Voigtstedt pledged by the Counts of Mansfeld , which was under the administration of the Electorate of Saxony .

Count Johann Georg von Mansfeld met Christoph Ulrich von Burgsdorff on November 26, 1663 in Mansfeld. He retained the inheritance justice and renewed the pledge for the sum of 36,000 guilders and a duration of ten years. The villages Voigtstedt, Schönfeld, Katharinenrieth and Nikolausrieth are named as accessories of the Voigtstedt office.

Christoph Ulrich von Burgsdorf was married to Anna Katharina von Burgsdorff, née von Stedern (born October 6, 1624 in Hameln , † June 28, 1702 in Voigtstedt). From the marriage, Christoph Ludolph von Burgsdorff (* 1653; † November 27, 1720 in Naumburg) emerged as their son. The latter died as a cathedral dean in the Naumburg monastery .
