Christophe Hurni

Christophe Hurni (born December 1, 1962 ) is a Swiss racing driver .

Career

Hurni began his motorsport career in the 1980s. He was active in the Swiss Formula 3 Championship from 1987 to 1990 . After finishing tenth in 1987 and seventh in 1988, he finished fourth in the 1989 and 1990 seasons. In addition, he took part in the European Formula 3 Cup in 1987 and 1989 .

After a long break, Hurni returned to motorsport in 2005 and took part in four of the six Swiss Formula Renault racing weekends . He finished the season in eleventh place in the drivers' championship. In 2008 he finally started again for a racing weekend in the Swiss Formula Renault. After a one-year break, he took part in two Swiss Formula Renault events in 2010.

In 2011 , Hurni was signed by Jenzer Motorsport for the season finale of the GP3 series . At the age of 48, Hurni became the oldest driver in this series to date.
