Christophe Maurice Jean Kempé (born May 2, 1975 in Aubervilliers , France ) is a former French handball player . He is 1.93 m tall and weighs 100 kg.

Kempé, who last played for Toulouse handball (shirt number 9) and ran for the French national team (shirt number 14), was mostly used as a circular runner.

Christophe Kempé made his debut for USAM Nîmes in the French first division. After just one year, he moved on to Sporting Toulouse 31 , where he won the French Cup in 1998. In 1999 he moved to Bidasoa Irún in the Spanish league ASOBAL , but returned to Toulouse after two years. Despite continued unsuccessfulness, he remained loyal to this club until the end of his career in 2010.

Christophe Kempé has made 177 appearances for the French national team. At the 2006 European Handball Championship in Switzerland, he was European champion ; at the European Handball Championship in Norway in 2008 he won bronze as well as at the World Championships in Tunisia in 2005 and in Portugal in 2003 . In the Handball World Cup 2007 in Germany, he finished fourth at the 2004 European Men's Handball Championship in Slovenia sixth. He won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympic Games . In 2009 he became world champion with France .
