Serby ( German : Zerbau ) is a place in the rural community Głogów in the powiat Głogowski . The place is located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland . Serby has about 1,200 inhabitants.

Serby is located about four kilometers northeast of the town of Głogów in the direction of Leszno . Stare Serby is about a kilometer away . The place is at an altitude of about 76 meters above sea level.

history

In 1911 the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul (św. Apostołów Piotra i Pawła) was completed in what was then Zerbau. In 1938 the place was renamed Lerchenberg as part of the National Socialist renaming . In 1945 Zerbau was annexed to Poland as Serby . Serby was part of the Legnica Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998 .
