Stare Serby ( German : Lerchenberg ) is a place in the rural community Głogów in the powiat Głogowski . The place is located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland . Stare Serby has about 140 inhabitants.

Stare Serby is located about five kilometers northeast of the town of Głogów in the direction of Leszno . Serby is about a kilometer west in the direction of Głogów . The place is at an altitude of about 76 meters above sea level.

history

On April 1, 1938, Lerchenberg was incorporated into the nearby community of Zerbau (today Serby), which then took over the name Lerchenberg in the course of the National Socialist renaming of the place . The actual Lerchenberg was now called Alt Lerchenberg . Another renaming in Stare Serby took place in 1945 when the place fell to Poland. From 1975 to 1998 it was part of the Legnica Voivodeship .
