Christopher Jonathan Sophie (born May 25, 1991 ) is a discus thrower from Mauritius and his country's current record holder in this discipline.

Athletic career

Christopher Jonathan Sophie gained his first international experience in 2009 at the Junior African Championships in Bambous , where he won the silver medal with a width of 46.02 m. In 2017 he took part in the Francophonie Games in Abidjan and finished fourth there with 50.15 m, as well as at the African Championships in Asaba the following year with 52.31 m. In 2019 he took part in the Africa Games in Rabat for the first time , where he improved the national record to 55.88 m, which put him in fifth place.
