Christopher Todd Mordetzky (born January 8, 1983 in Santa Maria , California ), better known by his ring name Chris Masters , is an American wrestler . Mordetzky is a descendant of Polish immigrants.

Career

Early career

Mordetzky started his career as a classic bodybuilder and won the title of Mr. California . At the age of 18 he was trained as a wrestler at Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) and at 19 he made his debut on January 8, 2003 in the UPW-hosted show called "UPW Season's Beatings II". A little later the WWE offered him a training contract. On February 7, 2004 Mordetzky made his debut in the WWE Development League Ohio Valley Wrestling , where he won the first title on April 30 . On October 31, 2004 Mordetzky made his debut on the WWE show RAW and was given the ring name Chris Masters .

WWE

On February 21, 2005 Mordetzky played a match against Stevie Richards , whom he broke his opponent's nose with the "Polish Hammer". Mordetzky got his own show segment. In this part of the show, the “Master Lock Challenge”, various wrestlers were allowed to try to free themselves from the “Master Lock”. He also formed a tag team with Carlito several times . After various attempts to involve Mordetzky in various title events, he was banned for 30 days in 2005 due to a violation of the official "WWE Wellness Policy".

Subsequently, Mordetzky appeared briefly at OVW . He returned to RAW on August 28, 2005. On June 11, 2007, Mordetzky was drafted from RAW to SmackDown in the WWE Draft . Shortly afterwards he was suspended for 30 days for another violation of the "Wellness Policy". Upon his return, he dislocated his elbow and had to take a four-month break. On November 2, 2007, Mordetzky was again suspended for 60 days. Just six days later, on November 8, 2007, Mordetzky was released from his current contract by WWE.

Independent Leagues (2007-2009)

Chris Masters (2010)

After his dismissal by the WWE, Mordetzky entered the international independent scene. So on December 20, 2007 in Tokyo for the Inoki Genome Federation . He also appeared in World League Wrestling . On February 10, 2008 Mordetzky won the WLW heavyweight title there from Keith Walker.

Return to WWE

In July 2009, Mordetzky was re-hired by WWE and returned to RAW on July 27, 2009. He was now involved again in various feud programs and in the course of the WWE Draft in 2010, Mordetzky was switched to the show Smackdown. In late 2010, he became the pro of NXT rookie Byron Saxton.

Through the WWE Draft 2011 on 26 April 2011, he was the RAW - Roster changed. On August 5, 2011, Mordetzky was released again from the WWE.
