Christopher Wilbrand (born September 27, 1965 in Ibiza ) is a German chef .

Career

Christopher Wilbrand comes from a family of restaurateurs. After his technical college entrance qualification he started his apprenticeship as a chef in the hotel "Altenberger Hof" and finished it in 1984. Since 1991 he has been working in his parents' hotel restaurant "Zur Post" in Odenthal , where he became head chef. Since 2003 he has been running the business successfully together with his brother Alejandro Wilbrand . Together with Thomas Ruhl, he will travel to Alaska in July 2013 to gain new experience.

Awards

Since taking over the Hotel Restaurant zur Post in 2003, it has been awarded a Michelin star . The restaurant has been awarded by Gault Millau since 2010 , currently with 17 points. The Aral Schlemmer Atlas rates the restaurant with 3 wooden spoons, the Gusto gives 7 pans.

social commitment

Christopher Wilbrand is also committed to social projects. The president of the ChefHeads, the chefs club, Guido Fritz, organizes a charity dinner once a year. Christopher Wilbrand has made his restaurant available several times as Vice President of ChefHeads. There are several cooking stations available for the guests. The donations are made to the KinderHerz Foundation.
