Christopher Zwickler

Christopher Zwickler (born July 5, 1984 in Bonn ) is a German film producer and entrepreneur .

Life and work

Zwickler produced shortly after graduating from high school with escalator down his first feature film of Zorro movie was taken to the cinema. He then studied "Production" at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy .

He shot his 90-minute graduation film "Kronos" a. a. in Ouarzazate , Morocco . As a co-partner of "Von Fiessbach Film", he then produced the film Hotel Desire , which was largely financed by crowdfunding .

His production Getting Acquainted , directed by Dustin Loose , won the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Silver Student Oscar in 2015.

Parallel to his involvement as a film producer, Zwickler founded a marketing agency for cinema films (Flimmer GmbH) with Roland Emmerich and Marco Kreuzpaintner , which was acquired by the French media company Webedia three years after it was founded. The agency is known for its extraordinary marketing stunts.

In 2019, Zwickler left Flimmer GmbH to found the production company Flute Film and to focus again on the production of films and series. The first project of the new production company is an international cinema adaptation of Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte" in coproduction with Roland Emmerichs Centropolis Entertainment .

Zwickler lives and works in Berlin .
