Chronoprinter

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chronoprinter is a word creation from chronometer and printer ( printer ). These are digital stopwatches that are equipped with a printing device (similar to cash registers ). Chronoprinters are mainly used in sports for time recording in competitions . These devices, which often have an RS-232 and a digital L / H interface, are coupled with a light barrier (L / H interface) to record the time . The RS-232 interface is then used to connect to the computer and the evaluation program running on it.

Typical applications are biathlon and most running sports such as marathons and hurdles . A typical example is the Chronoprinter CP 540 from TAG Heuer .
