The Chumangkang (also Lachsi ) is a peak in the Himalayas in the district of North Sikkim in India .
The Chumangkang has a height of 6212 m . It is located south of the eastern main Himalayan ridge in the north of Sikkim. The mountain ridge leads north over the Lachin Kang ( 6358 m ) to Chomoyummo ( 6829 m ), 5.93 km away .
Ascent history
The Chumangkang was first climbed in 1938 by the British alpinist Bill Tilman .
