The Church Point ( English for spire is) a headland at the West Antarctic Graham Land belonging Trinity Peninsula in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is 3 km west of Camp Hill , with which it limits the entrance to Botany Bay .
The headland was first sighted during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld . The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out a mapping in 1945 and named it after the 355 m high rocky summit that towers over the headland and whose shape is reminiscent of a church tower .
