Chursdorf is a district of the city of Penig in the district of Central Saxony (Free State of Saxony ).

Chursdorf is located about four kilometers south-east of the city of Penig on the district road leading to Burgstädt .

history

Chursdorf is probably a founding of a locator called Conrad in the course of the rural land acquisition in the 12th century. It is possible that the place was settled from Drachenfels Castle in a brook valley. A typical Waldhufendorf was created .

The first documentary mention comes from the year 1357, when goods in the vicinity of the castle countess Elisabeth von Leisnig were venerated as a marriage gift.
