Jigzhi

Jigzhi County (also Cigdril ; Tibetan གཅིག་སྒྲིལ་ རྫོང , inscription after Wylie gcig sgril rdzong ; Chinese  久 治 县 , Pinyin Jiǔzhì Xiàn ) is a district of the Golog Autonomous District of the Tibetans in the southeast of the Chinese province of Qinghai . In 1999 it had 17,931 inhabitants. Its main place is the large community Chugqênsumdo (Zhìqīngsōngduō Zhèn 智 青松 多 镇).

In Jigzhi there is the Darthang Monastery ( tib . : dar thang dgon pa ) or Pelyül Darthang monastery ( tib . : dpal yul dar thang dgon pa ; Chinese Baiyu Datang si 白玉 达唐 寺 or Báiyù Sì 白玉 寺) which is also known as the Tarthang Monastery.
