The Cilo Dağı ( 4116 m ) is the third highest mountain in Turkey .
The Cilo Dağı ("Mountain Cilo") is located in the Hakkari Dağları in the eastern Taurus in the Yüksekova district of the Hakkâri province . The Cilo Dağı is part of the 30 km long Cilo mountain range. The Uludoruk ( 4135 m ) is in the immediate vicinity (4 km away) and is the second highest mountain in Turkey.
In 1984 the area was closed to civilians. Only in 2002 was a team of mountaineers allowed to climb again in the Cilo Mountains.
