The tufted perch-like (Cirrhitioidei) are a subordination of the Centrarchiformes in the group of perch relatives (Percomorphaceae). There are five families of tufted perch, all of which live in the coastal regions of tropical, subtropical, and temperate seas (South Australia only).
features
Your pelvic fins are just behind the pectoral fins . The lower five to eight pectoral fin rays are unbranched, usually reinforced and sometimes separated from the other pectoral fin rays. The anal fin usually has three hard rays.
Systematics
Even with Nelson the group was placed as the superfamily Cirrhitoidea in the order of the perch-like (Perciformes).
