Clare Blaeser

Clare Blaeser (born May 26, 1900 in Elberfeld , † September 25, 1996 in Wuppertal ) was a German local politician and member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Blaeser attended elementary school , got her middle school leaving certificate and graduated from a private business school . From 1917 to 1945 she worked as a commercial clerk at a company in the special machine industry. She had a further job as a department and office manager until May 1945. From December 1945 to January 1946 she was managing director of the Wuppertal district association of the FDP.

From 1949 she was a city councilor in Wuppertal, from July 5, 1950 to July 4, 1954, she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. She was directly elected in the second electoral term in constituency 054 Wuppertal-Elberfeld-Nord.

Honors

In 1969, Blaeser was awarded the Wuppertal Ring of Honor.

With the resolution proposed by the city of Wuppertal on January 29, 2008, an access road in the new building area west of the Unihalle (B-Plan 967) was named Cläre-Blaeser-Straße .

Together with your sister Leni, I was awarded the title Righteous Among the Nations (2017).
