Clare is a city and a management unit in District West Suffolk in the county of Suffolk , England. Clare is 25 miles from Ipswich . In 2011 it had a population of 2028 inhabitants. Clare was mentioned as Clara in the Domesday Book in 1086 . It is the smallest town in Suffolk. There are the ruins of Clare Castle .
