The Clare Range is a mountain range in the Antarctic Victoria Land , which extends south of the Mackay Glacier in a west-southwest direction from Sperm Bluff to the Willett Range .
It was circled in 1957 by a New Zealand group of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) and named after Clare College at the University of Cambridge .
