The Clarence River is a river in the west of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river arises in the Clarence Lagoon south of the Walls of Jerusalem National Park . From there it first flows south and passes under the Lyell Highway (A10). Then it turns its course to the southeast and flows into the Nive River about 4 km southwest of Brontë .
