Claude Wiseler (born January 30, 1960 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg politician and former minister of the Chrëschtlech Sozial Vollekspartei (CSV) .

Life

The graduate of the Athénée de Luxembourg studied literature at the Paris Sorbonne until 1989 . He then returned to the school to teach there. From 1987 to 1999 he worked as a civil servant in Luxembourg ministries. From 2000 to 2004 he was assistant to the mayor of Luxembourg.

In the legislative period from 2004 to 2009 he became Minister for the Civil Service and Administrative Reform and Minister for Public Works. From July 23, 2009 to December 2013, Wiseler was Minister for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure , an amalgamation of the ministries for regional planning, environmental protection, transport and public buildings. He has been a member of the Luxembourg Parliament since December 2013 . From 2014 to December 2018 he was parliamentary group leader of his party. Martine Hansen was her successor .

From 1995 to 2000 he was general secretary of the Chrëschtlech Sozial Vollekspartei. He was also vice-president of the party with Octavie Modert .

Wiseler is the father of three children.
