Claudia Folkers

Claudia Folkers (born May 6, 1960 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Hamburg parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school in Hamburg in 1981, Folkers studied sociology at the University of Hamburg until 1989, with economics, psychology and political science as minor subjects. A family break followed and professional activities in the areas of tourism and event management followed.

Claudia Folkers is Protestant, married and has two children.

Folkers is a member of the local board of the CDU Hamburg-Rahlstedt , the district board of the CDU Hamburg-Wandsbek and a delegate in the regional committee of the CDU Hamburg.

From 2005 to 2008 she was a member of the local committee of Hamburg-Rahlstedt for the CDU, then until 2010 a district member of the Hamburg-Wandsbek district assembly and specialist spokesperson for the CDU parliamentary group for social affairs and education. From September 2010 to February 2011 she was a member of the Hamburg Parliament. She replaced the resigned MP Rolf Reincke , who was appointed to the state council of the tax authority. In parliament, she was a member of the school committee and the urban development committee. Since 2019 she has been a member of the Wandsbek district assembly again.
