Claudia Knape (born October 6, 1969 in Bensberg ) is a successful German motorboat racing driver .

Life

Claudia is the daughter of Ekkehard and Waltraud Knape. She has two younger brothers, Oliver and Knut. After completing school, she learned the carpentry trade in her father's business , passed the journeyman's examination and the master’s examination . She is married to Steffen Bauß and has two daughters.

Even as a child, Claudia Knape was out and about with her father Ekkehard when he competed in motorboat races in Germany, Europe or around the world. When she reached the required age limit, she started her own racing career. Together with her father, she built her own racing boats.

After her success in circuit racing , she was committed to the USA for one year in offshore racing .
