Claudia Rütsche

Claudia Rütsche is a Swiss paleontologist and director of the Zurich Museum Kulturama .

life and career

Rütsche studied from 1989 to 1994 at the University of Zurich faculty comprehensive general history , paleontology and prehistory , graduating with a lic. phil. I. In 1995 she wrote her dissertation on Swiss museum history. «The art chamber in Zurich's Wasserkirche . Public collecting activity of a learned citizenry in the 17th and 18th centuries from a museum-historical point of view ».

In 1984 she started working at the Kulturama Museum. In 1992 she was appointed deputy director, and since 1996 she has been the museum director as the successor to the museum's founder and benefactor Paul Muggler . In 2006 she was also elected President of the Board of Trustees .

Awards

  • Arnold Vogt Prize for Museum Education 2013 at the HTWK Leipzig , Museology course (Markus Walz) for the diploma thesis “Designing a museum visit as a personal encounter. Psychological conversation situations in museum education and the importance of empathy and relationship ».
