Claudia Schäfer-Rudolf

Claudia Schaefer Rudolf (* 2. August 1970 in Ulm as Claudia Schaefer ) is a German local politician ( CSU ). She has been the mayor of Senden since May 1, 2020 .

Education and career

Schäfer-Rudolf graduated from high school in 1989. Shortly afterwards, she began an internship at the Illertisser Zeitung , thus embarking on a journalistic education. In 1990 she volunteered at the Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung and later also worked for the Neu-Ulmer Zeitung and the Südwest Presse (swp). In 1994 she began training as a financial assistant at Ulmer Volksbank. Two years later, however, she switched back to the journalistic subject, as more flexible working hours made it easier to combine raising children with work.

Political activity

Schäfer-Rudolf began to work as a parents' adviser at the Senden primary school to get involved in the renovation and modernization of the schools in Senden and then ran for the city council in 2008 on the CSU list, to which she is still a member.

Since 2014 she has been chairman of the CSU parliamentary group together with Walter Wörtz. In the 2020 local elections, she ran for mayor of Senden and on March 15, 2020, with 53.6%, she successfully prevailed against her two competitors Raphael Peter Bögge (Together for Senden) and Maren Bachmann (SPD).

Schäfer-Rudolf has been married since 1994 and has three sons.
