Claudio Daniel Husaín (born November 20, 1974 in San Justo ) is a former Argentine football player .

Career

society

Husaín played in Argentina from 1992 to 2000 for Vélez Sársfield . Several times he was then in ranks of the CA River Plate (2000, 2002, 2003 to 2004). In between he was active at SSC Napoli in Italy in 2001 and again in 2002 . In 2004 and 2005 he played in Mexico for UANL Tigres . From 2005 to 2006 a station with the Newell's Old Boys followed . Also in 2006 he was a player at CA San Lorenzo de Almagro . From 2007 to 2008 he was back in the ranks of Newell's Old Boys.

In the Apertura 2009 he played six first division games (no goal) for the Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting . In February 2010 he was used in two games (no goal) for Audax Italiano in the Chilean Primera División .

National team

Husaín was a member of the Argentine U-17 national team. He also played for the Argentine national team from 1998 to 2002 . With this he took part in the 2002 World Cup, but was not used in the tournament.

Trivia

In Argentina he was nicknamed El Turco ("The Turk") because of his Lebanese and Syrian origins .
