Claus-Günther Bauermeister († June 21, 2011 in Hamburg ) was a figure in German company sports .

Life

In 1950, Claus-Günther Bauermeister co-founded the company sports association of the Ministry of Economics and Transport in Hamburg. From 1962 to 2000 he worked on a voluntary basis on the board of the company sports association of 1949 eV Hamburg, since 1976 as 1st chairman. In 1974 he was elected General Secretary of the then company sports umbrella organization, the Federation of German Company Sports Associations (today: DBSV) . In 1977 the delegates elected him vice-president of the BDBV. He held this office until 1985.

Awards

In 1998 he was awarded the Golden Shield of Honor of the BSV Hamburg and the Federal Cross of Merit (Cross of Merit on the ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany) for his services . In 2001 he was made an honorary member of the German Company Sports Association.
