Claus E. Heinrich
Claus E. Heinrich (* 1955 in Waiblingen ) is a member of the board of sovanta AG and was a member of the board of SAP AG from 1996 to 2009 . As an honorary professor, he also teaches at the University of Mannheim and the TU Berlin . He has been an honorary senator at Heidelberg University since 2009 .
Training and professional development
Heinrich studied business administration at the University of Mannheim . After graduating in 1981 and doing research at Cornell University in the USA, he received his doctorate in 1986 in the field of Operations Research . In 1987 Heinrich joined SAP and quickly took over the management of the logistics controlling development department. In 1996 he was appointed to the board and was initially responsible for logistics applications. Under his leadership, SAP developed into the world market leader for supply chain management solutions. He was then responsible for the entire development of the SAP R / 3 ERP solution . In 1998 he was also appointed Labor Director and headed global human resources . From 2005 to 2009 Heinrich was also responsible for the internal IT organization, the optimization of internal business processes and the coordination of the worldwide SAP development centers.
In 2009 Heinrich left SAP at his own request and founded sovanta AG, based in Heidelberg. Sovanta AG supports large and medium-sized companies in generating competitive advantages with business apps for smartphones, tablets and internet browsers.
Heinrich is married, has four children and lives in Heidelberg .
