Claus Nørgaard (born December 17, 1979 ) is a Danish football coach . He has been coaching the first division club SønderjyskE since 2017 .

Career

Nørgaard began his coaching career with Herning Fremad's U-15 . From 2006 to 2009 he was a youth coach at Vejle BK and from 2009 to 2012 talent coach at the Danish Football Association . Later Nørgaard was head coach at IK Skovbakken and the U-19s of Vejle BK, before he was promoted to assistant coach of the first team.

From 2013 he was assistant coach at Brøndby IF and until 2016 qualified with the team twice for the qualification for the UEFA Europa League , in which Brøndby IF was eliminated. In the summer of 2016, Nørgaard left the club after reaching fourth place in the table and became head coach of the Danish U-16 and U-18 national team and the U-20 selection.

On January 5th, 2017, Nørgaard was introduced as the new coach of SønderjyskE . Under him SønderjyskE reached the championship round, in which the bottom of the table, the qualification for the international competition was missed.

Nørgaard is a trained teacher and has all trainer licenses.
