Claus Raab

Claus Raab (* 1943 in Herrieden ( Middle Franconia ); † October 14, 2012 in Essen ) was a German musicologist and university professor.

Life

Raab studied historical and comparative musicology and philosophy at the Free University of Berlin . In 1970 he received his doctorate on Haussa drum music in north-west Nigeria and in 1972 became a lecturer at the Folkwang University of the Arts . In 2008 he retired.
