Claver Kamanya

Claver Kamanya (born March 25, 1947 in Bukoba ) is a former Tanzanian sprinter .

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he reached the semifinals over 400 m and set the current national record with 45.74 seconds.

In 1970 he was fourth over 400 m at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh .

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he was eliminated over 400 m in the quarter-finals and in the 4-by-100-meter relay and the 4-by-400-meter relay in the preliminary run.

In 1974 he won bronze over 400 m at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch . In the 4 x 100 meter relay , he did not get past the first round with the Tanzanian team.
