The Claydon Peak is a 3,040 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It projects a rocky northeast flank just south of the January Col on.
Participants of the New Zealand Southern Group of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) explored the mountain in the spring of 1958. They named it after squadron leader John Richard Claydon (1917-2014) of the Royal New Zealand Air Force , chief of operations for air support for the southern group.
