Clemens Kammler
Clemens Kammler (* 1952 in Hovestadt ) is a German literary scholar and didactician . He studied German, philosophy and social sciences at the Ruhr University in Bochum , where he also received his doctorate. Between 1980 and 1997, Kammler worked as a teacher at various grammar schools and as a subject manager. From 1997 to 2001 he was professor for German language and literature and their didactics at Bielefeld University . Since 2001 he has been Professor of German Studies / Literature Didactics at the University of Duisburg-Essen . From 2013 to 2015 he was also Managing Director of the German Institute there. Among other things, he is co-editor of the Metzler Foucault manual and the magazine Praxis Deutsch .
