Clemens Pölking

Clemens Pölking (born February 27, 1915 in Lohne ; † January 17, 1967 in Lingen ) was a German politician (CDU).

Pölking attended elementary school in Südlohne, a district of Lohne, and secondary school in neighboring Vechta. In 1935 he graduated from high school. In the summer of 1935 he completed the labor service and then did an internship in a recognized agricultural training company for two years. In November 1937, Pölking was drafted into the Wehrmacht and released as captain of the reserve in July 1945. During his war missions he was wounded three times. After the end of the war, he studied agriculture in Bonn-Poppelsdorf from 1945 to 1948 and graduated as a qualified farmer. From May 1949 he was employed by the Association of the Emsländischen Landvolkes eV. employed in Meppen. He was managing director for the Lingen district and, from 1956, managing director for the four Emsland districts. From May 20, 1963 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in its fifth term. He died in 1967 during the current electoral term and was replaced by Hans Westerholt .
